Last week, East Elementary students worked with their class to create talking sticks in honor of American Indian Heritage Day.




Evergreen 8th graders got to spend the day outside investigating healthy river systems and bird habitats for one of their Eight Days for 8th Grade. Great kids and beautiful day!

8th graders spent the morning learning about Native American culture. They played games, learned music, created art to make a totem pole, and created memory bags based on the book Shi-Shi-to. We also had Dillen and Denaya Brisbo perform a traditional Native American dance.
