Message from the Principal

Welcome students and parents to Evergreen Junior High School! We are so glad you are a part of our Wolverine family. We hope that each and every one of you will be a part of activities that are offered here at EJHS, either as a participant or a spectator. We consider this our second home and hope you will too!

An active parent is one that attends special events, conferences, extra-curricular activities,  and understands that open communication is vital for their child’s success. We realize that your time is valuable, so we encourage you to get your Infinite Campus Parent Portal activated. This site will allow you to check on your child’s academic progress, update household information and keep in contact with the school.  In addition, we LOVE parent volunteers! You would be surprised how you can impact the overall success of EJHS with just a hour a month. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer in our building.

Attendance is important to your child’s success. In fact, research shows that a student who has regular attendance and is active in school clubs, programs and extra-curricular activities is more successful in life. The first school bell rings at 8:25 am, with students being tardy at 8:30 am. School is released at 3:30 pm. If you are having any difficulty getting your child to school, please let us know. We would love to be part of the solution.

At Evergreen School District, all students eat free. This means no paperwork to fill out and no updating of forms each year. ALL students eat breakfast and lunch free. In addition, we are a part of the school backpack program that provides weekend backpack food for those in need. If you would like to be put on this program, please contact Mrs. Taylor and she can help you.

This school year we welcome many new staff members to our Wolverine family. Our three new fifth grade teachers are Mr. Michael Waddell  from Colorado, Ms. Grace Williams from Missoula and Mrs. Cara Hingiss from Polson. In addition, we have two new paraprofessionals joining our family, Mr. Dan Prickett and Mrs. Maria England. Mrs. Hammergren, who was a part-time paraprofessional will be joining us for the whole day and Mrs. Taylor will be taking on the role as our new school counselor.

Once again, welcome to EJHS! Please stop by and say hello and see how you can help your child and our school grow to be the best it can be.

Cordially,
Kim Anderson
Principal, EJHS
