College Sophomore

The $1,600 Evergreen Scholarship is intended to assist former Evergreen School District students who have moved on to undergraduate studies at a two or four-year college, a vo-tech program or at a university. While a variety of scholarship opportunities are available to assist students in their first year of college, financial aid is more limited in the second year. Any student who graduated from Evergreen Junior High and Glacier or Flathead high schools and will be at least a sophomore in college at the beginning of the 2017-18 academic year may apply. To be considered a sophomore, you must have completed at least two full-time semesters at a post-secondary institution. (Note – students may only apply for this scholarship once during the course of their post-secondary studies).

Scholarship criteria:

  1. Must be a student from the Evergreen School District who graduated from Evergreen Junior High School and            
    Glacier/Flathead High School.
  2. Must be a full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited technical program, college, or university.
  3. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Application requirements:

  1. All applications must include a cover sheet which contains a statement of academic goals (100 words or less).
  2. Report card for fall semester/quarter of the freshman academic year.
  3. Evidence of current college enrollment for the sophomore academic year.
  4. Contact information sheet.

Before receiving the award in the fall, students will also be required to provide:

  1. An official college transcript through the spring semester/quarter of their freshman year.
  2. Verification of enrollment in a college or university for their sophomore year.

The award will paid directly to the institution in which the student is enrolled and can only be used for education-related materials and fees.

Deadline and submission information:

  • All applications must be received or postmarked by April 30.
  • Only complete applications will be considered.

College Junior

The $500 Evergreen Scholarship is intended to assist former Evergreen School District students who have moved on to undergraduate studies at a four-year college, a vo-tech program or at a university. While a variety of scholarship opportunities are available to assist students in their first year of college, financial aid is more limited in the third year. Any student who graduated from Evergreen Junior High and Flathead or Glacier high schools and will be at least a junior in college at the beginning of the 2017-18 academic year may apply. To be considered a junior, you must have completed at least four full-time semesters at a post-secondary institution. (Note – students may only apply for this scholarship once during the course of their post-secondary studies).

To be considered a senior, you must have completed at least six full-time semesters at a post-secondary institution. (Note – students may only apply for this scholarship once during the course of their post-secondary studies).
